"You're the secret I keep."

I am completely enjoying my visual arts class!!!!

The lectures are amazing and during our last lecture, I actually found myself shutting my laptop, so that I could pay better attention to what my prof is saying (She is brillllliant; for one of her photo projects, she photographed the word "good" -she was examining her Catholic upbringing- each time it appeared in the Bible. It was 567 times!!!! Talk about dedication, hey?). Currently, we're studying conceptual art and our first project has to do with photographic mapping. I'm really excited. We are supposed to choose an action, perform and document it (through photography) and arrange it in a display that shows its progression/regression or changes. So, for example, Eleanor Antin went on a diet in order to achieve what society believes is the "perfect body". Every day during her diet, she stripped off all of her clothing and took a photo of herself until she believed she was at the "ideal" weight.

I have an idea of what I want to do for my project and I'm so stoked for it! I hope that no one else has done it before. I'll post up my photos once they're done!
