"What if we were wrong about each other?"

The other day (Saturday), I was at 7-Eleven, trying to buy Slurpees with my debit card, but for some reason the debit machine at the store told me that my card number was invalid. I was kind of confused but wasn't too worried about it.

Yesterday, I tried using the ATM at UBC in order to check my balance, but the ATM at UBC also told me that my card number was invalid.

SO, I went home and talked to my dad about it, and he was like, "Oh, yeah, you should probably call the bank. Maybe they had to cancel it for security reasons."

I still wasn't really worried until the bank called me before I could even call them and told me that my card WAS cancelled for security reasons! Long story short, I probably used my debit card somewhere shady (I don't even remember!!!) and afterward, someone jacked my debit card number and pin. Uh-oh.

... But not really uh-oh because I only had like, like than ten bucks on that card, so (this part is kind of funny) apparently, the perpetrator tried to withdraw money from my card, only to find that he couldn't because I only had < ten bucks... lololololol! Then, the stealer tried to be sneaky and "deposited" $480 into my account.... but it wasn't really $480 and most likely just an empty envelope that he shoved into the ATM. Unfortunately for him, my bank has a policy that doesn't allow people to withdraw any money (that has been deposited into an ATM) for seven days. So the motherfucker was very unlucky, and I am sitting here laughing at him and his stupidity, while being grateful (for the first time) that I am constantly broke.

Yeah, that's my story for today. I think it's more funny than tragic.
