So, at the moment, I'm sitting in my living room drinking mint hot chocolate (!!!) and watching A Cinderella Story (barf, by the way) on TV, while trying to block out the annoyingly fast and high-pitched voice of one of my mom's friends. She came over with a bunch of food and presents because today is the New Year (Chúc Mừng Năm Mới!!!! Hahahaha) for us azns. I have harboured a secret disdain for her since I was a kid because she used to babysit my brother and I when we were younger. She would feed us the same leftover soup that she didn't even bother microwaving for us! The witch. Yes, I don't like her.
Anyway, the city is bright and exciting. The entire world is either here or watching us on TV- it's great. I wasn't too excited about the Olympics at all before they actually began, but the increase of energy in the city is undeniable. With this much excitement in the city, how could you NOT want to hug everyone you see? Unfortunately, the idea of watching the actual sporting events still bores me.
Super excited for this week because a bunch of fantastic bands are playing shows all over Vancouver AND the Van Art Gallery is offering FREE admission to patrons for the duration of the Olympics. Tiff and I are hitting up the gallery tomorrow. So fun so fun so fun.
