This weekend, I went to the Island for a mini-vacation with my family.
We went to museums, listened to amateur musicians on the pier and had the most beautiful meals. My parents made my brother and I strike dorky poses in front of famous landmarks, while he tried to figure out how to snap digital photos. My mom fell in love with a Simon and Garfunkel cover band. We had tea before going to bed in our hotel and french toast in the morning. It was probably the most fun that I have had with my family in a long time.
I wish that I could go on vacation with them every weekend. It is so nice to not feel like my parents are enemy number one.
Good bye teen angst! I am not looking forward to meeting you again in my own children.
