My mom.
Most of the time, parents are just naggy and annoying and you kind of forget that they're real people, too. Today, my mom reminded me that she is human and that for the most part, I am exactly like her.
How?
Well, my mom has been watching Vietnamese-dubbed Korean dramas, lately, and today, she was watching some film called Sweet Spy (Originally named 달콤한 스파이 in Korean and Nữ Trinh Sát Gợi Cảm in Vietnamese) and during it, she called me downstairs, saying that she really needed my help.
... She wanted me to show her how to use the camera on her phone so that she could photograph one of the actors in the film.
It took me, like, an hour to show her how to use the camera. Seriously. She asked the same questions like ten times each and I don't think that she even remembers anything I taught her. So precious. But anyway! She totally has a major crush on this Korean actor named Dennis Joseph O'Neil (Total white guy name, right?!?! He's half American). In Korea, he's known as Dennis Oh. So, yeah, my mom was totally pausing the movie at parts which featured this dude's face and trying to capture his image on her phone so that she could show her friends. I think she said something about not knowing his name and wanting to ask her friends if they knew what it was, since he wasn't a Vietnamese actor.

My mom and I have always had different tastes in men, but this guy is actually pretty sexy.
So anyway, fifteen minutes after standing in front of the television with her phone, I said, "Mom, couldn't I just figure out his name by looking up the movie online?" Then, she said something about it being a Korean film, originally, so it would probably be hard for me to find it online.
... I just typed in the Vietnamese title of the movie into Google and abra kadabra alakazam! I figured out the name of the film and the name of the actor. I found a billion photos of him and my mom was so amazed. She was like, "Wow! You should study more computer things. You're a genius!"
I guess she doesn't know that Google is the best thing that ever happened to the world and that it is pretty much my best friend.
