I saw Adventureland, yesterday.... It was either that or Fast and Furious, and no way am I ever paying real money to watch that movie. I didn't go into Adventureland expecting much, considering Kristen Stewart is a main character, and I was thoroughly unimpressed with her performance in Twilight. During the movie, Jorge pointed out that one of her lines in Adventureland is exactly like one from Twilight. Something like, "I don't want to live without you." It was a pretty funny realisation. In Adventureland, Stewart's character, Em, is pretty much like Bella Swan... but sluttier and into the Ganja. During the entire movie I was thinking, "Edward Cullen's going to swoop in at any moment and rip the shit out of these guys that she's making out with." Sometimes, I like to pretend that the lives of characters from one movie, or TV show, are being continued in a different movie, or TV show. For example, Ben Mackenzie is playing a cop in a new TV series that I've forgotten the title of. When I saw it, I thought to myself, "Wow, Ryan Atwood really came a long way from Chino."
Yeah, that's pretty much it.
Adventureland was pretty funny aside from K-Stew. The other characters were witty and memorable and made up for the bore that is Kristen Stewart. So... go see Adventureland!
