So, after three days of practicing my monologues, I finally got the chance to present them at St. George's in front of a panel of judges, today!
I don't know whether or not I'll get the scholarship, but it was a pretty cool experience. I mean, one of my judges was the guy who played Chloe's dad on Smallville! He also did some other stuff, but in my opinion, being on Smallville is the coolest thing on his imdb page. The other judge was this old guy... I don't know much about him. "He looks like Zeus," said Jeremy. I didn't think so, though.
Anyway, I was so nervous before my audition because the very first person that I saw was some keener guy who was decked out in 20th century clothing. I felt so intimidated because A) He was rehearsing in a fancy accent and B) I was like, what the heck, I don't have a costume!!!
I felt better after I saw that I wasn't the only one who didn't have a costume though.
I think that my audition went okay, considering I totally butchered Shakespeare by making up two lines. I didn't get much criticism, though, thank God. All that the Smallville guy wanted me to do was be angrier in my monologue.
I wish that I could go to St. George's. Of course, that would require some penis growth on my part. But still. They have a freaking PLASMA screen in their LOUNGE, next to the BABY GRAND PIANO.
