"... like this is the last time."

After TWO years of procrastination, guess which little lady got her L, today?!

... Yayyyyyyy!

I am very, very excited. I mean, for two years I had been saying that I was going to get my L, but I never actually did. Well, until today of course. I don't know what made today different, but I'm glad that it was. Different, I mean.

For a while, today, however, it seemed like I wasn't meant to get my L.

I set my alarm for ten a.m so that I would be able to wake up early enough to ask my dad if he could drive me to ICBC. So, skipping the yadayada and blahblah, it was around 1:30 that my dad and I finally left the house.

I was reading the back of RoadSense and we were around 41st and Knight before I realized that I didn't have primary identification, like the book had said.

"Dad?"
"Mmmhm."
"We have to turn around."
"Why?"
"I don't have my birth certificate."
"Oh, don't worry. I'll talk to them."

Sigh, I thought. My dad is so stubborn, sometimes.
So, anyway, we drove all the way to Commercial, in search of the Drivers Services centre... except when we got there, the centre had magically disappeared. Or so my dad thought.

Omg.

We got back into the car and ended up driving all the way to Burnaby to take the test.
... Only when we got there, we were informed by the polite receptionist that I would NOT be allowed to take my Knowledge Test without a valid birth certificate.

OMG.

We had to drive allllllllllll the way back home in order to pick up my birth certificate. Something that we totally could have done five million hours ago at 41st and Knight!!!
So, yeah, fast forward to about half an hour later, and my dad and I were in the car AGAIN, this time with my mom and birth certificate in tow; however, this time, my dad decided to go to the Drivers Services centre in RICHMOND.

Seriously.

Ha ha ha ha ha, wanna hear something funny?
After about forty-five minutes of wandering/being lost, we finally got to the Drivers Services centre, only to find out that they were no longer offering Knowledge Tests at that time.

We were fifteen minutes late.

ALDJFALDJFALDJFALDJFAKL!!!

My mom, who was POSITIVE that there was a Drivers Services centre on Commercial, made my dad drive back to Commercial.
The Drivers Services centre magically appeared... on the other side of the street.

Omg. Omg. Omg.

Wanna hear something ELSE that's funny?

... They no longer offered Knowledge Tests at that time, either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to cryyyyy.
This time, though, the nice, Dallas Green look alike at the counter told me that I would be able to take my test... in Burnaby.

We drove all the way back to Burnaby.

SIGHSIGHSIGHSIGHSIGHSIGHSIGH.

When we FINALLY got there, I received a service number and waited for like, an hour before I was finally able to take my test. It was probably one of the longest hours of my life.

There were no other seats except for the one that I had.
Lucky for me, my seat was beside two especially charming girls.

... Oh my gosh! They were so annoying! How could two people be so annoying!?!?!?! They just kept talking and talking and bad-mouthing their friend, who was taking her Knowledge Test. One of them, who kept saying fuck this and fuck that, was wearing this super slutty, black mini-skirt.

Uh, hello, it was like, the freaking Arctic outside, today!!!!

I wanted to stab myself in the eye. Holy.
The only thing that kept me sane was the constant texting that I was doing.

... But anyway, when they finally called my number, I FINALLY took my test and passed with 83%. Hooray! Watch out grannies and innocent pedestrians, I'm on the road!
